Priority 1: Student Belonging and Engagement

Priority 2: Academics
- We will improve the performance of All Students in grades 5- 8 at W.H. Kirk Middle School showing growth by 7%.
- We will increase reading/Literacy using State Report Card and District Short Cycle & Formative Assessments Data.
- We offer Reading Intervention and Math Foundations to all scholars increasing grade level growth and proficiency.
- We will monitor data and provide feedback to every scholar and every teacher in real time
- We have an Intervention Specialist assigned to each grade level providing academic supports in both Reading and Math.
- We have collaborative supports from our two Title 1 teachers
Priority 3: Attendance
- Understanding Chronic Absenteesim, All Students in grades fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth, attending W.H. Kirk Middle School will increase attendance rates by attending school daily and on time.
- Teacher Attendance Teams meet daily and make daily calls to families
- Attendance Team meets weekly to review and create plans for scholars who are chronically absent from school.
- Attendance Team makes daily calls, sends out letters, and conducts home visits in an attempt to increase attendance rates.
- Attendance Data of All Students is monitored by the Attendance Team, with a goal to decrease Chronic Absenteesim by 7.00 %.
Priority 4: School Climate and Supports
- Customer Service meets you at the front door here at Kirk Middle School
- We are inclusive to parents and families keeping them informed through Blackboard messaging.
- We are a PBIS school (Positive Interventions and Supports)
- We offer tier one supports to all scholars
- We track data to make informed decisions on what our scholars need
- We provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports and resources
- We offer incentives for positive behaviors
- Our team meets monthly to analyze, review, and strategically plan
