East Cleveland City Schools continues to build on its academic progress, maintaining a three-star overall rating on the 2025 - 2026 Ohio School Report Card for the second consecutive year.

The district also earned four stars in Progress for the second year in a row, recognizing the academic growth students are making over time.

These results represent more than a rating. They reflect the continued work of our students, teachers, support staff, families, and community partners who are contributing to the district's ongoing improvement.

Since moving out of state academic distress, East Cleveland City Schools has remained focused on strengthening classroom instruction, supporting student growth, and building systems that sustain improvement.

We also recognize that important work remains ahead. Mathematics achievement remains a priority, and the district is using report card data to identify opportunities for improvement and provide more targeted support to students and teachers.

Progress is worth recognizing, and the work must continue.

We appreciate the recent coverage from cleveland.com, which highlighted East Cleveland's continued three-star rating and the broader progress reflected in Ohio's latest school report cards.
